Using Your Discover Card for Purchasing Goods and Issuing Minimum Payments

Posted by

Consumers who are carrying Discover credit cards may be able to purchase certain types of goods from retail stores as Best Buy, Walmart and Costco with them while keeping their FICO credit scores intact if they follow the best practices. Personally, the current practices I use for handling my Discover More Card Cashback Bonus credit card which continues to hold more than $2,000 in borrowed funds are simply:

  1. Setting up and taking advantage of Discover’s DirectPay Enrollment program.
  2. Limiting my usage of the Discover More Card every month.

Of course, moving money directly and automatically from a checking account to your Discover credit card can be achieved by taking advantage of the lender’s payment services. This month alone, Discover expects to receive a minimum payment of at least $40 from a consumer like me. Capital One’s current minimum payment of $15 for a debt exceeding $500 is incredibly favorable as compared to Discover’s. Consumers like college students and full-time employed individuals who want to handle their Discover credit cards effectively must probably maintain frugal personal budgets so as to delinquencies in the future.
